Santa's Lap

Last weekend was our annual family Christmas party (with my dad's side)
YEE-HAW!
Santa came (as usual) and brought the kids each a little something.
A GUN for Mase and yep you guessed it . . .
a GUN for Griff.
Oh and a little turtle thing for Dax :)
They were certainly excited about their new guns.
Mason told Santa he wanted slippers and a camera
Check, Check.
Griff asked for a new blankie
Check.
These kids sure are easy :)

Griff was a little nervous, but hey he didn't cry!

Santa called Mason's name FIRST, so he was caught offgaurd.
But don't worry, he remembered what he was going to ask for and got the message through.

Daxon WAS NOT HAPPY (this happens from time to time I promise!) . . .
until he discovered wrapping paper
and ribbons with little Maddie

Happy Anniversary!

Six years ago today we got married! Time flies when your having fun! It has been a great 6 years (really 9 counting the 3 years of dating) and I wouldn't trade it for the world! We have done so many things . . . lived in 4 houses, built 2 houses, put in 2 yards, had 3 boys, and many many memories have been made. I can't wait to see what else life has in store for our family and am looking forward to making many more memories!

Love you hun!

This sweet boy

Just got done crying for 24 minutes straight. I'm not quite sure what is going on with him at night lately. He has always been such a GREAT sleeper until about 2 weeks ago when he started waking up 2 - 3 times a night. Maybe I've just been spoiled because he has slept through the night since 2 months . . . I don't know. So at first I was thinking that maybe he is getting some new teeth, but he seems to be just fine all day long, just as happy as can be. So now I am thinking that the little stinker just wants to be held all night long. Now don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to hold him all night long if I didn't have other kids to take care of the next morning . . . but I just can't do it. He will fall asleep and as soon as I put him in his crib he wakes right back up, so after about 3 or 4 times of Kasey and I trading off putting him back down, we decided that he's just going to have to cry it out. This is the first time that we have tried this with Dax and well, 24 minutes later, the crying STOPPED ( I was going to go in at 30 minutes ) and he has been asleep now for about an hour. Lets just hope he stays asleep. Wish me luck :)

The BIG 26!

On Sunday I turned 26 or was it 27? Nope just 26. For some reason Kasey was convinced that I was a year older than I am. Hmm . . . the kids must be aging me :) Anyway it was a great day of just hanging out with the family and oh ya, the 80 minute massage that Kasey surprised me with was fabulous! My mom, sisters, sil, and I all went out shopping and to lunch on Friday to celebrate. I know, I know, of all days to go shopping, BLACK FRIDAY . . . but it really wasn't to bad. It was a lot of fun as usual and I came home feeling cute again (thanks to my new clothes . . . thanks mom!) It's amazing what a nice new pair of jeans can do for ya! Thanks to everyone for making my birthday such a great one!

Here are a few of the fun things I got for the big day . . . great new additions for my kitchen!

I've been waiting . . .

to post my Christmas tree until after thanksgiving . . . so here they are! The boys and I had a fun time decorating the house and we are all getting super excited for Christmas. I even have all my shopping done! This is a first for me. I usually procrastinate and end up going out the week before Christmas, but I have to say that it feels so good to be done! Now I can focus more on just having a good time with the family and enjoying the holidays!

They can sure be a handful . . .

3 boys. . . I think that says it all. At times lately I feel like a screaming referee and I don't see it changing anytime soon. People tell me that boys just fight. Now when I say fight I don't mean argue. I mean all out throw my brother to the ground so that I can get to the wanted object first, fight. Poor Griffin. This happens to him often. He has started defending himself with his pincher's and teeth. Not Good! In fact Mason has the bite marks on his stomach to prove it. We do a lot of time out lately :)

But I wouldn't trade them for the world. Mase and Griff are off with Grandma and Grandpa right now to see some Christmas lights and it is quite. Very quite and I am finding myself missing them, and their noise!

They of course have their fun times too. Here are a few of my recent favorites!

Mason can always get a good belly laugh out of Daxon. He adores his big brother.

Horsie rides

They seem to migrate to wherever I am . . . so here they
are laying under the high chair while I'm feeding Dax

Sisters (minus 1)

This weekend my little sister Lauren came and stayed with us. We had a fun time and pretty much spent the day on Saturday giving her a new look. She went from blond to brunette and long to short. I think she looks like a babe and so grown up :)

PotTy TiME

Today Griff went pee in the potty. WOW! He had taken off his diaper himself ( a first for him) and so I let him run around naked for awhile. Then I asked if he wanted to pee in the potty, and after about 3 tries, he went! Now mind you it was just a little bit . . . but still, he went!

So off to Wal-mart we went for his prize ( a new toy of his choice that happened to be a little race track . . . I think big brother had a little to do with that :) and some pull ups.

He hasn't gone in the potty since, but hey . . . he went! And at 27 months I think that's just GREAT!

Trick or Treat

I think that this was the first year the Mason really "got " the whole trick or treating/Halloween thing. He kept on saying that he wanted to do the trunk or treat and then the trick or treat! I was kind of bummed that our ward decided not to do the trunk or treat this year, but it was actually a lot of fun going from house to house. It was so nice outside until the very end when the wind started to kick up and let me tell ya, Daxon did not like the wind. I had to hurry home with him and make a quick stop at one of the neighbors to borrow a blanket (thanks Becky!) and leave the boys behind with Kasey. But it was fun while it lasted! If you can't tell, Mason was spiderman, Griffin was a monkey ( he would not put the hood on) and Daxon was a frog. I'm glad to have it all over with and looking forward to the holidays!

FIELDTRIP

Today was Mason's first field trip of the year. They went to the fire station since this month is fire safety month. Mason had a blast learning about the firemen and what they do. He was a little nervous that the sirens might be turned on (I has to be sure to let the fireman know to inform me before this was going to happen so I could take my noise lovers outside!), but other than that he did great! He even volunteered to stand up in front of the class and try on the fireman's jacket. He was so excited to be the one that was chosen and was all smiles the entire time!

The group shot . . . sorry it's kinda fuzzy!

It's a perfect fit!

Jumping out of the fire truck

Hanging out with his buddies outside of the fire station

6 MONTHS . . .

Yes it is true, Daxon is 6 months old! How can it be? I took him in for his 6 month check up today and he is doing great! He now weighs 18 pounds 5 ounces (60%) and is in the 70% for his length (I don't remember the inches:) At 6 months old Daxon is such a happy baby! He loves bath time, his tongue (which is sticking out most of the time lately), baby food (especially oatmeal, rice cereal, pears and carrots) and of course his big brothers. He has 2 teeth and is working on his third . . . and we just absolutely adore him. I really can't imagine life without my sweet, easy going, content little guy!

I posted a ton of pictures because I couldn't decide . . . enjoy!

TAGGED . . .

I have been tagged by a couple people so I figured I better go ahead and bore everyone with my quirks!

Rules: list 6 quirks and then tag 6 people . . .

Quirk #1: I love having everything clean and orderly around the house, but hate doing it!

Quirk #2: I can not finish the last bite of a sandwich. I don't know why but it always ends up staring at me from my plate and I feel like I should eat it, but just can't.

Quirk # 3: I don't like to get ready. You know the whole blow dry & style, then put on the makeup . . . but I always feel so crappy when I don't.

Quirk # 4: I need sleep! You would think after 3 kids I would be getting better with this one, but no. I could go sleep for 12 hours and still be tired :)

Quirk # 5: When I am watching TV or a movie or reading a book, I must be wrapped up in a blanket. It doesn't matter if it's 90 degrees outside, I'm not comfy without a blanket.

Quirk # 6: I can follow directions . . . but I really hate being told what to do. It seems like if someone tells me what to do, then I will do the opposite just to do it my own way.

Now that everyone has found out a few of my quirks, I tag Julie, Lauren, Anna, Alisha, Emma, & Lorinda (I know this tag has been going around for awhile so if you've already done it, or just hate tags, then just ignore!)

PUMPKIN PICKERS

The boys love love love helping in the garden, so when it came time to pick the pumpkins they were so excited!

We filled the wagon up and are still waiting for a few more of the BIG ones to turn orange (we are hoping before Halloween!) . . . and Griff thought he was so funny hiding behind the wagon every time I tried to take a picture:)

2 weeks later . . . .

We have some growth! I love looking outside and seeing green!
And on a separate note, Dax got his first tooth today!

Owies & Sour faces!

This is the result of Mason being super excited to go to preschool! He was running to the door faster than his little legs could go and he fell and skinned his knee. Now he has skinned his knee before, but not quite this bad and he sure let me know how much it hurt! After about 45 minutes of crying, he decided it would be okay to head back to school (as long as I promised not to touch it of put a bandaid on it!)

We tried giving Dax cereal last night. I'm not so sure what he thought. He kept on opening his mouth for more, but making the most sour looking faces, and then spitting it back out. Maybe it was just hte texture, but my kids don't ever like the rice cereal much!

AT LAST :)

We finally seeded our yard this weekend! YEA! And when I say "we" I mean Kasey :) He has been working sooo hard this summer to get the yard ready for grass and that is not an easy task with a 2 year old and a 4 year old wanting to 'help' with everything! I think I'll take a picture about everyweek to document our grass progress! Yea for no more dust (as least not as much :)

Check out the awesome curbing that Kasey did! What a guy. . . he can do it all! But I will take credit for staining the curbing and laying the rock pathway! :) Next I'll stain the porch and walkway!

Just a shot of the back corner and the garden

Funcky shot of the side and part of the sidewalk that Kasey poured (I took it from the deck)

Sweet Sweet Boys

The boys love to all play together in Daxons crib. . .
Any time that Dax is on the floor and he rolls over, Mason and Griff automatically go over to him and give him some major praise! I found them all on their bellies together . . . so cute!

Again, must be wherever Dax is!
Grandma Jackie emailed me this cute picture of Mase and Griff with "funny hats" on their way out to pick veggies from her garden (one opf their favorite things to do with grandma!).
