Navi's Room

Navi's room has been so much fun to decorate! It has been an ongoing project and still isn't quite finished but I thought I would post a few before and afters anyway!

I don't think that the pictures really do it justice. I am so happy with how it turned out! Most of the big things were old furniture that we repainted. The dresser was mine when I was little. With a coat of white paint and some new glass knobs, it turned out perfect! The crib was Griffin's old crib that we painted and the big shelf on the wall used to be hanging in our front hallway (it was black). I had an old lampshade that I reused by covering it with pink lacey ribbon and pairing it with a new glass base. The curtains were a couple of cheap white panels that we added pink chenille to the bottom. I cut up one of her crib sheets and added a strip to each curtain panel to tie them in with the bedding. And of coarse the green beads just added that finishing touch to the panels! I had so much fun doing all of these little projects (with help from Kasey with some painting and his grandma Cheryl with the curtains)! Now I want to finish a few small things in her room and then move on to finish up the boys rooms!

2 week pictures

These pictures were taken a week ago when Navi was 2 weeks old. I am so in love with them and could have posted a million more! Her stats at 2 weeks were:

This is the best shot I could get :) And me being mom of the year completely forgot that it was even St. Patty's Day until after I brought Mason to school . . . I hope he didn't get pinched too much! I think this mom of four thing is going to take some getting used to!

1 Week Old

It's crazy to me that she is already over a week old! I was planning on having her pictures professionally done at 1 week but it got pushed back a week due to our photographer being sick. So here she is at one week . . . and check out her super cute dress that my sister made her! I love it!

SHE'S HERE!!!

She's here at last! Navi Lynn was born on February 25 at 3:00 pm. She weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces (beating out all the brothers) and was 20 inches long. It seems crazy that just a week ago she was still in my stomach! In fact, the entire pregnancy seems crazy! From getting pregnant with an IUD to having a c section scheduled because she was breech to her turning the day before the c section and finally coming a week later! I am so glad to finally have her here! She is so sweet and so far has been super easy. Although I am super tired I can't complain to much because she goes 4-5 hours between her nighttime feedings! It is wonderful! The boys absolutely adore her and are always wanting to hold her. They are especially fascinated by her tiny little fingers. They make sure to always get her a binkie when she's crying (or Daxon will just come up to me and pull down my shirt . . . like come on mom . . . feed her :)

Here we are . . . all 6 of us! I never imagined we would be a family of six, but now that we are it's hard to imagine it any other way! Don't get me wrong . . . it's CRAZY busy and I am a little nervous about my mom leaving today, but they are mine and I wouldn't have it any other way!
