This summer has been pretty basic . . . but fun and definitely VERY HOT!!! Here's a few pictures of what we've been up to so far!

What would we do without the kiddie pool???

LOTS OF BABY SMILES . . .
Dax already loves his brothers and it doesn't take much for them to get him to SMILE!

ALLERGIES SUCK

So today was a bad day for Mason with his allergies. Actually we were playing outside all morning and then all of the sudden he came in whining and rubbing his eyes. His eyes were so red and almost swollen shut. Poor little guy! So mom came to the rescue with benadryl and a cool wash cloth and this was the result! He fell asleep with the wet washcloth over his eyes . . . hopefully he feels better when he wakes up :)

BELATED FATHERS DAY

Fathers day was a great day at our house! The morning started out with the traditional fathers day breakfast of biscuits & gravy with scrambled eggs. YUM . Then we headed for the park to feed the ducks and have a picnic. After the boys naps we headed over to Kasey's Grandparents and had dinner with the family. The boys had a blast playing on the slide and I tried desperately to get a good fathers day picture but with Mason being in a silly mood this is the best we got!

I did want to say how much we love Kasey. He is the best dad ever. I don't know what I would do without him. He takes every spare minute from the time he gets home until the boys go to bed to play with and take care of them! They just adore him and try to be like him in every way. We love you daddy!

8 WEEKS OLD . . .ALREADY???

It seems crazy to me, but yes Dax is 8 weeks old today! He is the sweetest and best baby! He is getting into a pretty good routine, and boy do I love a good routine when it comes to my kids! He has a good 5 hour span of uninterrupted sleep every night and is finally spacing out his feedings during the day so mom can actually get a few things done! Although some days I still just hold him and do nothing :) He is getting to be quite a chunk and is smiling more and more everyday!

BEST BUDDIES

Most of the time anyway :) Even after all of the hitting, kicking, biting, screaming, shoving, wrestling and so forth . . . they never seem to want to be very far from one another! I have always hoped ( and still do ) that having them so close together will help ensure them to be the best of friends, but I have a feeling we are going to experience both sides of the spectrum! But hey, what's a little fighting between two siblings gonna hurt? I mean really, I remember my brother just wailing on us girls and we still love each other :) Anyway, I'm not sure why I went off on this subject because I really just wanted to show everyone the most recent pictures of my "big boys" being best buddies!

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO . . .

It's been a little while since I've done a post and I was looking through my camera at some pictures I have taken over the past few weeks and thought I should update on the random things in our lives! So a couple weekends ago Mase and Griff stayed the weekend at my parents, better known as grammy kim and papa norm. It was a much needed weekend for us and the kids had a blast! Mason finally decided that he was brave enough to ride the horse and so after I'm sure dozens of "grammy I want to ride the horse" they finally decided to give it a shot. Much to my parents surprise ( and mine and anyone else who knows my little mase who seems to be scared of everything :) He got right on with no concerns at all! What a brave little guy after all! And of course Griff will do anything that his older brother does so he had to have a turn too!

Believe it or not, I actually got something done while the kids were gone ( Thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law who helped out with Daxon in between feedings! We have a big walkout area from the back of our house (out of the basement) that needed some major TLC so I headed to the garden center and after spending a small fortune . . . who knew plants could cost so much??? I finally got it looking beautiful ( sorry the pictures didn't turn out to great so I won't post them!) Kasey also got a lot done in the yard so hopefully we will be able to get grass sometime soon!

I was noticing this weekend how BIG Daxon is getting! They grow up so fast . . . it makes me kinda sad! He has already outgrown the newborn diapers (and the 1-2 size is getting a little snug) and is wearing 3-6 month clothes! I don't know why I am surprised since the other 2 were the same way . . . but here is a funny picture of Dax and his chubby cheeks!
