Not bad for Kiddie Kandids . . .

Here are Daxons 9 month pictures. I usually am NOT a fan of kiddie kandids, but I really needed them done and didn't want to wait . . . so here you are!

This is my favorite :)

SPoNtanEOuS!

I would say that we are not a very spontaneous family. We like routine, schedules, and sanity :) But a couple weeks ago, we decided to be a bit more spontaneous . . . so we decided to go stay at a hotel and take the boys swimming. (As I am typing this, it doesn't sound very spontaneous at all, but trust me for our family it sure was!) The boys had a blast, even Daxon loved the water and I am so glad we went. Up until this time both Mason and Griffin have been a little nervous around the water so I was super proud of both of them when they decided to try out the life jackets and swim around on their own. Griff was the brave one that tried it first and once Mason saw that his little brother wasn't drowning . . . . he decided it would be okay for him to try. The only downfall to our swimming trip was the eczema flare up an both boys . . . but that is now under control and the boys are dying to go swimming again!

Bu - Bye Binkie

Griffin is officially DONE with his binkie . . . and I might add that he has done surprisingly well considering the fact that he has had it with him 24/7 since the day he was born!

He was down to one partially ripped binkie a few days ago and I told him that if he took a nap without it, we could go for Ice Cream. So right then he completely ripped the binkie in two and threw it away! I was so surprised and a little nervous myself, but he has been doing great and really only asks for it when he's tired or hurt. The funny thing is that I thought it was for sure going to be a rough couple of nights until he got used to the idea, but he has actually SLEPT BETTER without it! Who knew? If I knew this I would have gotten rid of it long ago! (I think it is due to the fact that he is not constantly looking for his binkie all night long . . . YEA!)

9 Months

It's hard to believe that Dax is already nine months old! He is growing so fast and I would really love it if he would just stay this age for ever! Despite the 4 teeth, 3 ear infections, 2 brothers that love to "love", and thrush that he has had over the last month, he has been such a fun, sweet, smiley guy. Dax now weighs 19 pounds 11 ounces ( which brought him from the 75th to the 35th percentile!?) This is a first for us . . . my boys are always at least in the 75th so I was pretty surprised! He is 29 inches tall (75th) and is in the 90th for his head :) A few of Daxon's favorite things right now are nursing, bouncing in his jumperoo, drinking from a sippie cup, scooting, taking a tub, making new noises with his mouth, being outside, and his latest favorite is swimming.
