Christmas Eve

This year Christmas was much different than years past. We had Christmas Eve at our house. Krista, Bobby, Kent, and my parents all came over. We had a low key evening with tons of food, visiting, a little just dance on the Wii, and of coarse the traditional Christmas Eve jammies and ornaments.

All in all it was a good, but hard night. We missed Jackie. It just wasn’t the same as our usual Christmas Eve of Chinese food and good times at her house. On the bright side we enjoyed our first Christmas Eve/morning with my parents.

Like I said … a new normal.

Your kids are getting so big!

I'm so sorry to read about your loss. I'm so sorry for the entire family, especially those little ones that will only grow up with memories. My dad passed away in August and I think a lot of how much not just I will miss him. Everyone told me it gets better with time, and it really doesn't. The sharp cut of the pain eases, but the pain is still there. Your mother in law looked like a fantastic woman, and everything I've ever heard or read was wonderful about her. I hope you guys can have clear memories of her as the days and years go by. Love you all!
