I've been waiting . . .

to post my Christmas tree until after thanksgiving . . . so here they are! The boys and I had a fun time decorating the house and we are all getting super excited for Christmas. I even have all my shopping done! This is a first for me. I usually procrastinate and end up going out the week before Christmas, but I have to say that it feels so good to be done! Now I can focus more on just having a good time with the family and enjoying the holidays!

They can sure be a handful . . .

3 boys. . . I think that says it all. At times lately I feel like a screaming referee and I don't see it changing anytime soon. People tell me that boys just fight. Now when I say fight I don't mean argue. I mean all out throw my brother to the ground so that I can get to the wanted object first, fight. Poor Griffin. This happens to him often. He has started defending himself with his pincher's and teeth. Not Good! In fact Mason has the bite marks on his stomach to prove it. We do a lot of time out lately :)

But I wouldn't trade them for the world. Mase and Griff are off with Grandma and Grandpa right now to see some Christmas lights and it is quite. Very quite and I am finding myself missing them, and their noise!

They of course have their fun times too. Here are a few of my recent favorites!

Mason can always get a good belly laugh out of Daxon. He adores his big brother.

Horsie rides

They seem to migrate to wherever I am . . . so here they
are laying under the high chair while I'm feeding Dax

Sisters (minus 1)

This weekend my little sister Lauren came and stayed with us. We had a fun time and pretty much spent the day on Saturday giving her a new look. She went from blond to brunette and long to short. I think she looks like a babe and so grown up :)

PotTy TiME

Today Griff went pee in the potty. WOW! He had taken off his diaper himself ( a first for him) and so I let him run around naked for awhile. Then I asked if he wanted to pee in the potty, and after about 3 tries, he went! Now mind you it was just a little bit . . . but still, he went!

So off to Wal-mart we went for his prize ( a new toy of his choice that happened to be a little race track . . . I think big brother had a little to do with that :) and some pull ups.

He hasn't gone in the potty since, but hey . . . he went! And at 27 months I think that's just GREAT!

Trick or Treat

I think that this was the first year the Mason really "got " the whole trick or treating/Halloween thing. He kept on saying that he wanted to do the trunk or treat and then the trick or treat! I was kind of bummed that our ward decided not to do the trunk or treat this year, but it was actually a lot of fun going from house to house. It was so nice outside until the very end when the wind started to kick up and let me tell ya, Daxon did not like the wind. I had to hurry home with him and make a quick stop at one of the neighbors to borrow a blanket (thanks Becky!) and leave the boys behind with Kasey. But it was fun while it lasted! If you can't tell, Mason was spiderman, Griffin was a monkey ( he would not put the hood on) and Daxon was a frog. I'm glad to have it all over with and looking forward to the holidays!

FIELDTRIP

Today was Mason's first field trip of the year. They went to the fire station since this month is fire safety month. Mason had a blast learning about the firemen and what they do. He was a little nervous that the sirens might be turned on (I has to be sure to let the fireman know to inform me before this was going to happen so I could take my noise lovers outside!), but other than that he did great! He even volunteered to stand up in front of the class and try on the fireman's jacket. He was so excited to be the one that was chosen and was all smiles the entire time!

The group shot . . . sorry it's kinda fuzzy!

It's a perfect fit!

6 MONTHS . . .

Yes it is true, Daxon is 6 months old! How can it be? I took him in for his 6 month check up today and he is doing great! He now weighs 18 pounds 5 ounces (60%) and is in the 70% for his length (I don't remember the inches:) At 6 months old Daxon is such a happy baby! He loves bath time, his tongue (which is sticking out most of the time lately), baby food (especially oatmeal, rice cereal, pears and carrots) and of course his big brothers. He has 2 teeth and is working on his third . . . and we just absolutely adore him. I really can't imagine life without my sweet, easy going, content little guy!
