Traveling Back in Time (April)

So since I have started my new blog, I have really sucked at updating this one. Since I am so far behind I am going to catch up one month at a time with one GIANT post for each month!

April was a fun and busy month. We got to go to Baby Animal Days for the first time, and the kids loved it! We went with my sister and her kids and my Dad. Dax seemed to be the fearless one out of my kids and loved petting all of the animals.

After waiting in line to ride the ponies for what seemed like forever, Navi had had enough!

We had a fun and low key Easter this year (still getting used to holidays without Grandma is hard). The kids always love dyeing and decorating eggs, and of coarse the hunt!

Dax turned four! He is getting so big, is almost as tall as Griffin (they can share clothes), but still likes being little, which I love!

Mason made this card for Dax on his birthday. He is such a thoughtful little guy.

We took a trip to Hogle Zoo with Grandpa Norm, Grandma Kim and Aunt Lauren for Daxon’s birthday. We hadn’t been there for about three years so it was all new for Dax and Navi and they loved it!

I’m baaack … sorta!

So after my hard drive going out on our 1 year old computer, it’s finally fixed (thank goodness I paid for a two year warranty) and I am back. I will just say that having no computer for a couple weeks is NO FUN AT ALL! I am now in the process of figuring out how to get everything back onto the computer just the way I like it (no easy task for this computer illiterate girl). So for now, I’m just sorta back!

In better news, I have started my new blog! For any of you that want to check it out, go to www.navybeanlane.blogspot.com and be kind … it’s still in the beginning stages. This is where I will be doing the majority of my blogging from now on. I will probably randomly post on the family blog … you know the really important stuff that I don’t want to forget, but I’m not gonna lie, two blogs is A LOT!

Haircut and a Bare Bum

Over the winter Mase decided he was going to grow his hair out and recently asked me to cut it back to it’s good ole’ faux hawk roots.

So I did.

And doesn’t he look so handsome?

And I just couldn’t resist this one.

My little bare bummed cowboy, Dax.

I keep telling that kid he can’t grow anymore.

He MUST stay little.

He loves it, and I love him!

Navi’s Two!

My baby girl turned 2!

These past two years have been crazy. So crazy that some how my baby is now two! (Where was I!?)

Little miss woke up and just knew it was her day. She paraded around the house most of the morning in her pink crown. When she woke up from her nap I had the decorations up and she looked at them and said, “Whoa! It’s my day!” I wish you could hear how she said it because typing it just doesn’t do it justice.

I have little shots of her party that actually turned out, but here are a few.

Navi just ate her party up. She is normally shy around people at first and will warm up after a bit, but this time was different. She knew it was her day and she just loved it. She loved opening her presents and having all eyes on her. She walked around saying, “It’s my day!” all night long.

At two years old Navi is the perfect balance between a tomboy and a princess.

She will play in the mud with dinos and trucks,

but LOVES anything pink and girly.

She loves jewelry, hats, and painted toenails.

She is a great eater and will try just about anything.

She loves to play outside.

She is becoming quite the chatterbox and says something new every day.

My favorite is when you tell her to something or ask her a question and she will say “k”. Or lately after I do something for her it’s, “thanks mom.” Or if you ask her about a cowgirl she will say, “Yee-haw!”

She is fearless and tries very hard to keep up with her brothers.

She loves to be mommies helper, especially with laundry and vacuuming.

She weighs 29 pounds (70%) and wears a 3T.

She is a charmer. Especially with Dad. It only takes that one look …

She loves music. She loves to dance and I often find her singing her own little tune as she wanders around.

And she is sooo loved. We just can’t get enough of our little miss!
