Willard Bay

Last night we made a spur of the moment trip to Willard Bay. Kasey suggested that we go after I had had a LONG day with the kids. At first I was skeptical. I thought "why will it be any different there?" I figured no matter where we were they would drive me crazy! Boy was I wrong! It was the perfect thing to do! The kids were so good. They loved everything from watching the boats and jet skis to playing in the water with dad to building sand castles to having a pizza picnic.

Dax kept saying "I love lake"

It Was Perfect.

Sometimes I think a change of scenery is a good thing! Especially during the summer when they are together all day every day. Thank goodness for a thoughtful husband who knew this would do the trick!

This was Navi's first time in her suit. I thought we would use it more during the summer, but she hates to get wet (even in the warm bath) so we haven't even tried until now. She sure looked cute!

BIG SMILES! She is constantly smiling these days! I love it.

My boys . . . I'm sure glad I am not the only girl any more!

T Ball

Mason had is last t-ball game of the season last week. He loved playing and was a great little hitter. The kids would get 4 coach pitched balls before moving to the tee and I think he only had to use the tee once. I was so proud of how good he did especially with this being his first time ever playing!

After the last game they had a hot dog dinner and trophies!
Grandma and Grandpa were so nice to come and watch Mason (and help with Navi so Kasey and I could watch!)

"The Property"

Kasey's parents have some property in Wyoming in the Uinta Mountains that is just beautiful. It is the perfect kind of camping for us because you have your own space and can not see anyone else. They have about 4 acres that includes a small pond that has been created by run off. We try to make it up to the property at least once a year and plan on going a lot more when the kids get a little bigger (camping with babies and 2 year olds . . . so fun!)

This year the whole family went up! (Us, Kent & Jackie, Krista & Bobby, and then the next day Grandma Cheryl and Gpa Robert and Uncle Randy). The kids had a blast and loved being there with everyone!

Daxon decided early on that this was his chair and made sure to sit in it often. Griffin and Mason became quite the little pyros and loved gathering sticks and throwing them into the fire.

Grandma and Daxon are taking it all in!

Cheryl and Navi . . . I love their special little bond! Cheryl has captured the heart of all of my kids, but there is something different with little girls!

Of coarse we had to bring the 4 wheelers. What is camping without them? The boys fought over who got to go with Krista and Bobby . . . they ARE the favorites around here!

Daxon pretty much lived on the 4 wheeler with dad. He even fell asleep on a long ride!

Here we all are a few minutes after arriving. When I look at this picture I think . . . geesh we are a BIG family! I guess I just live day by day not really thinking about it and it takes a picture to put it into perspective!
We had so much fun on this trip. (although I am not gonna lie . . . the night was rough). I think that 3 is about the perfect age to start going. Griff and Mase did great. The little ones did pretty good but I think next time Kasey will just take the big boys!

Oh and we also discovered Navi's HATE for her car seat on this trip. I fed and changed her right before we left, and she screamed the entire way home. The whole 2 1/2 hours. It was rough! I just had to keep telling myself that it was all in the name of making memories :)

Dino Park Field Trip

A few days before school got out I was able to go with Mason on his field trip to the Dinosaur Park. He was so excited and asked me every day for about a month when we got to go. It was his first time on a school bus so he thought that was pretty cool.

We first went into their learning center and had a lesson and craft.
Next we got to wander around the park and check out all of the dinosaurs. The kids had a blast and I was glad to be able to spend some time with Mase! Mason and Trevyn posing for the camera.

Isn't he handsome? I know I'm his mom and all but . . .

They also got to play on the dino playground for awhile before it was time to go. I think the kids had a great time (despite the rain).
And now my little kindergartner is going to be in first grade.
All Day!
It seems weird to me. But he is so ready! He loves school, loves his teacher and does so good! I'm excited to see how first grade goes . . . I've heard it can be a little hard, an adjustment. We will see!

Catching Up . . .

I am having a hard time believing that it is already June and that after today, school will be out for the summer! I am working on putting together an ABC summer for the kids and am hoping that between that, swimming lessons and a few camping trips I will be able to keep the kids busy! We will see!

May pretty much came and went and I wanted to post a few things that I haven't got to yet so bare with me!

First: Mothers Day

Mothers Day was so nice! I got to sleep in (yea!) and then have a yummy breakfast. The boys made me some cards and were so excited to give them to me. Mason also made a little book about me at school. It made me laugh. One page said "my moms loves to rest" this is so true, just funny that he said it!

My mom and Dad came over for lunch and then we took the kids to the park. It was such a nice day and so nice to get outside and let the kids run around.

You probably can't tell by the picture but Mason was terrified to climb the rock wall, but since he saw Griff do it he had to try! Even with Dad standing and helping right below him and Grandpa at the top it was still such a hard thing for him. But once he figured out that it was okay and he wasn't going to fall he actually did it a few times and liked it!

After playing on the toys we headed over to the baseball field to hit some balls. After all of the playing everyone was pretty tuckered out and decided to relax on the grass. It was such a fun day and I am so lucky to be the mom of these four sweet little kiddos!

Second: Mason turns 6! What???
Mason had his sixth birthday this year. Doesn't he look super excited about it in this picture??
He was in one of those don't take my picture moods! I think by this time he was pretty worn out! His day started out with his favorite breakfast (rollers and bacon) and then it was off to school. After school he spent the afternoon shopping, eating, and bowling with Grandma Cheryl. He was more than spoiled and has a blast! Then we had is party with the rest of the family and his buddy Bosten. He requested Chinese from our favorite Lucky China for dinner and then it was more presents and cake and Ice Cream.

He had an army themed party and had an army tank cake. All in all I think he had a great day and is so glad that he is finally six!

Third: Navi's 3 months!
I just wanted to make sure I had a 3 month picture. She is getting so big, smiling, and has completely rounded out our family! Love you Navi!
