Bows, Bows, Bows

I have made and accumulated so many bows that I decided I needed a way to organize them. I really didn't want them just out in her room, making things cluttered, so I decided to make these boards. They will hang inside her closet doors so the bows and clothes will be close for matching . . . and they will be out of sight when I want them to be.

They were super easy to make. I bought two 16 x 20 canvases and covered them with fabric (just stapled with a staple gun). Then I found some ribbon that coordinates with her room and stapled four strips onto each canvas . . . and walla!

Here's a close up so you can see how cute the fabric is. I LOVE it and bought extra for more fun projects!
And here they are all filled up. And don't worry I have more bows . . . they are just waiting for clips to be attached :)

On a side note, I went to my 35 week check up yesterday and have already dilated to a three. YIKES. I wasn't expecting that but maybe this will be my first pregnancy that I am not induced for. We will see! The doctor wants me to take it easy . . . especially since he will be out of town next week. I guess now it's time to go buy a car seat!

Passing the Time

JANUARY . . . Blah! I am not a big fan of January.

It's cold, gloomy, not much going on. Did I mention cold?

Luckily we have a baby coming in 5 1/2 weeks, so there is plenty to be done! I think I have started nesting. I am feeling like there is so much to be done with so little time. We have begun the musical room process in order to make room for a nursery. Griffin moved into Mason's room which has turned out a lot better than I had anticipated! We also moved Daxon into Griffin's old room and are now working on the nursery. It is so much fun doing a girls room! I may be going a bit overboard . . . but how could I not?

Here's a little sneak peak at the nursery . . . and my little daredevil. He has NO FEAR. I don't think Mason would climb up to the top yet if we paid him! I love how each of my boys has such different personalities.

And Griff getting in on the action as well. I am almost done painting the walls, and Kasey is painting the crib and dresser as I type! I have a million other little touches to add and will post pictures when it's all done. (Hopefully soon!)

Oh and one other thing we have been busy with while passing the cold January days . . .
Making yummy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (Griff let's me know that these are Grandpa Norm's favorite every time we make them) and banana bread! Mmmm!

I found . . .

This little guy sleeping soundly.

Half on the carpet and half on the hardwood, as I was heading to bed last night. He had come out of his room several times already (and been put back in and told to STAY in bed . . .).

He decided this time to lay down in the exact spot where I couldn't see him . . . very quietly I might ad! And when I picked him up and brought him to his bed, he was mumbling things like "my diaper was wet" and "I need more juice". He must have still been thinking about what to say to me to make it okay to be out of bed . . . once again.

Little did he know, I didn't mind. Who could be mad about this?

SnOw!

One thing that my boys have definitely taken after their dad is their love for the snow. They could spend hours and hours out in the freezing cold and be perfectly happy. The only problem is that their mom DOES NOT love the snow! So as you can imagine, they were in heaven over the weekend since Dad was home and willing to go out and play (ALOT!)

It also helps that we are lucky enough to live on Kasey's grandparents property so there is plenty of room for riding and sledding! Grandpa Kent even made them a mini snow hill in the field to the North of our house. They LOVE it!

Isn't he just adorable? . . . I could eat him up in this shot!
